Well it turned out, after the promise of the $1k from Party Poker, me and Pecks actually looked at the bonus incorrectly. In my last post, I said I had completed nearly 20% of the bonus when in actual fact the bonus had automatically been split into 5 seperate chunks of $200, and I had only done 20% of the first $200!!
I had a word with them and after working out I would have to play nearly 100,000 hands in 16 days I decided that it definitely wasn't worth it. So I left party posting a small profit.
After this disappointment, I decided to set my sights on the LA bonus I had of $300. Again I misjudged the number of hands I had to do and still had nearly 30% of the bonus left to unlock in the last week. Desperate measured were needed and I turned to 100nl again in an attempt to unlock my bonus quickly.
Fortunately I managed to unlock the bonus with a day or two to go, so it was a nice addition to my bankroll.
I only posted a very small profit in February (not including bonus) of approximately $100. This was mainly due to my poor performance at 100nl.
100nl - ($477)

However this month has gone a lot better and I've been on a heater the past couple of days.
I'm over $1,000 up so far this month, which is excellent, but I've been running at 9ptbb/100 for the last 12k hands over 100nl and 50nl.
I have also embarked upon a little bit of Heads Up, I would really like to learn and be good at heads up, so my FT roll is going to be my HU roll. Unfortunately I've pretty much busted it already, but I get my RB into there each month so that will (hopefully) supplement my roll.
On another positive note, I have decided to go on a coaching course with SootedPower from deuces cracked. It's a group coaching course and I'm hoping this will firmly establish me in the 100nl games. At the moment I'm playing both and switching between games.
Finally, PT3 has TableTracker support for Pacific, I am on a month's trial at the moment so I'm full pelt fish hunting it's pretty basic but I suppose it does the raw basics and that's all I need it for at the moment, I fully expect it to be improved over the next few months.

PartyPoker $1k Bonus Day 1
So as I mentioned before, I have 15 days in which to play 21,000 hands at Party.
Because I have played 2,000 hands so far all month I figured that drastic measures were needed to attempt to even get close to this target. I moved my PC to Slats house. With some early teething problems aside (took all afternoon to connect the internet) everything got up and running ok.
I started off playing really. And won 5 buy ins in a very short period of time. I was on top of the world, playing lots of poker and winning too (I'd be more than happy to breakeven whilst unlocking my bonus at Party) However, I had a last longer bet with Slats to see who can play for the longest. The stipulations were that there needed to be a minimum of 4 tables at a time and we had 5 minute allowance per hour for toilet breaks. It just recently ended, with Slats not being able to hack it for anylonger.
During this last longer bet I started to go on autopilot and play kinda spewy, I wasn;'t double barrelling enough and I had my paranoid hat on thinking that everybody who bet on the river obviously had a busted flush draw....
I soon lost back all the money I'd won earlier and finished about $10 down (not a bad result overall) I didn't really lose that many stacks, I was just spewing and more importantly, not winning big pots myself!
Overall, really happy with my day though. I played ~3,500 hands, which PartyPoker says is 19% of my bonus completed in the first day! It was a total of 7.5 hours though... Basically a working day...

A not so perfect start
Well, to say I started badly would be an understatement. I didn't play well after writing my recent blog. I basically lost about $1k @ 100nl. Putting me right back to 1,900 and firmly back @50nl.
However, I had a session with Luke which I thought went quite well. And I read Gus Hansen's book, which I really enjoyed and since then I have ran quite well. I have played maybe 4k hands in the past week (nowhere near enough btw) and ran at ~7.5ptbb/100 it has boosted my roll to $2,600. I have a $400 bonus to unlock at Lucky Ace.
I also got an email through today from Party Poker saying that I have a 100% reload bonus up to $1,000. Now that's pretty huge for me, but @ 50nl requires me to play a LOT of hands. I'm looking at 21,000 in 15 days. I need 14,000 if I play 100nl, but I can only deposit $1k and I don't really want to lose that grand and have no chance of unlocking the bonus.
I would be really really happy if I broke even during those 21k hands. I'd win $1k and perhaps a few hundred dollars in RB. This would push my roll up to $3.5k and give me a another shot @ 100nl maybe...
Not sure what I'll do about the $400 bonus @ Lucky Ace. I may just merk it after the Party bonus, I'll have to see how things work out I guess.

Not a good day
Well after I posted my plans for 2009, things certainly didn't go the way i wanted them to. I pretty much got my arse handed to me at the tables today, a few coolers - but a few shitty stack offs too.
My roll is now like 2550 after being at 3100 at it's height today. If I loss tomorrow I'm going to have to move back down for a bit, which sucks. Handgrabber is doing a shitty job of grabbing hands so I lost a few hands where I like stacked off on Axx in 3Bet pot w/ AK cos he had AA etc.

2008 review and looking to the future.
Ok, started a new blog because the old blog wouldn't expand to fit my pictures. Seeing as this post was going to be picture filled combined with the fact that I'd just been set over setted meant that I start a new blog!!
We'll start off with my results for 2008. Now they weren't great. I lost a net amount of $1.8k (on my desktop. I was in profit on my laptop, not sure how by though. I estimate about $600.) This means I'd guess at about a $1.2k loss overall in 08.

However, I must remind people that this was also combined with me running $1.7k UNDER expectation...

I don't have many stats at the moment, because I'm currenly using PT2 with the site until they release Pacific compatibility to PT3, but once they have updated it, I'll put all my hands over there.
Things rarely ever go to plan, but if it could - I want to run @ a minimum of 2ptbb/100 for Feb and Mar. With about 30k hands in both of them.
This would mean a profit of $2.4k and my roll would be ~5.5k. However, I owe Pecks 1k, so it would be 4.5k. So that's my aim - for a bankroll of 4.5k by 31 March 2009.
I think I'll be playing 100nl for a while - until maybe 6k roll I guess, to give myself a proper chance @ 200nl but I need to make sure that I play well @ 100 before I can even think of that.
